AUSTRALIAN MOTORCYCLE NEWS has this to say about the GREAT OCEAN ROAD.

Victoria's best ride. The GOR is one of Australia's most iconic roads. You'll love it, regardless of what you ride.
There are a few rides that are so memorable that you end up going back repeatedly. One such ride is the Great Ocean Road on Victoria's picturesque southern coastline. Located west of Melbourne, it's one of the best motorcycling roads Australia has to offer. The road runs for 215 kilometres from Anglesea to Port Campbell. It follows the coastline for much of its length and offers some great corners which are fantastic on a motorcycle. From Anglesea, the road heads southwest through the Great Otway National Park to Aireys Inlet in a series of open sweepers with good views across the Bass Strait.

This is the ride to go on. Let me warn you, October may be spring time but south Victoria is always cold. The Victorians may bathe in the surf in October, but they would rather be in front of a warm fire. So polish up the bike, get some warm clothes and submit your leave application.

Victoria here we come.
